{"id":588,"date":"2021-08-15T11:49:52","date_gmt":"2021-08-15T09:49:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/riseofthewhitesun.com\/?p=588"},"modified":"2021-08-15T20:47:43","modified_gmt":"2021-08-15T18:47:43","slug":"announcement-dates-for-a-demo-and-steam-early-access","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riseofthewhitesun.com\/index.php\/2021\/08\/15\/announcement-dates-for-a-demo-and-steam-early-access\/","title":{"rendered":"[ANNOUNCEMENT] Dates: Demo and Steam early access plans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear readers, fellow gamers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope you are all well and safe!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have achieved quite some progress in terms of preparatory work for Rise of the White Sun over the past year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Documentation has been gathered and processed,<\/li><li>Some raw concepts of the game have been defined,<\/li><li>Definition of the game scope and first-draft sketches are underway,<\/li><li>Code work will begin in September.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the mean time, the developer has been working on the second iteration of his Cauldrons of War series, titled <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1497230\/Cauldrons_of_War__Stalingrad\/\">Cauldrons of War Stalingrad<\/a>. He is currently adding the icing on the cake: the urban fighting scenario in Stalingrad! This will be completed by the end of this summer as the definitive version of the game is released. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I therefore take advantage of this little message to share a couple of announcements as we are now in position to set a first schedule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A <strong>playable demo<\/strong> should be<strong> ready by December 2021<\/strong> so that you can play around with the different game mechanisms.<\/li><li>A release of the <strong>game on Steam early access before summer 2022<\/strong> is the target. We will then gradually implement additional features and scenarios.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking forward to show you new game screenshots and features as they get ready. In parallel, we plan to keep adding historical content here.
